Apollo Stage

Apollo Stage is a free unreserved venue located on our main Science Festival site in Imperial Gardens (GL50 1QA) in the centre of Cheltenham.

Cheltenham College Chapel

This magnificent building, with its glorious soaring architecture, provides an atmospheric venue for Cheltenham Festivals performances. With a seating capacity of 500, the Late Victorian Gothic chapel is externally based on the chapel of King’s College, Cambridge.

Cheltenham Town Hall, Main Hall

The Town Hall, situated on Imperial Gardens in the centre of Cheltenham comprises of a Grand Main Hall, distinguished by its Corinthian styles columns and coved ceiling. 

The venue’s early 20th-century Edwardian elegance makes it the classic ‘shoebox’ concert hall. With a seating capacity of 900, the Town Hall is perfectly suited to grand symphony orchestra performances with a thrilling impact.

Pillar Room, Cheltenham Town Hall

The Pillar Room is an unreserved venue located in the Grade II listed Cheltenham Town Hall.

Cheltenham Ladies' College, Parabola Arts Centre

Parabola Arts Centre is located in a Grade II listed building in the glamorous Montpellier district of Cheltenham. The centre was built as a facility for students of Cheltenham Ladies’ College and to be used as a public arts centre by the local community.

DEYA Brewery

Starting in 2015, DEYA brewery have now become one of the most innovative and creative breweries in the UK.

Everyman Theatre

The Everyman was opened in 1891. The main auditorium is an architectural masterpiece designed by Frank Matcham that has inspired generations of performers.

Family Tent

Our dedicated venue for family-friendly events, with a mix of mini-gigs, workshops and craft sessions. The venue has informal, unreserved seating with lots of comfy beanbags and floor cushions for kids.

Gloucester Cathedral

A warm welcome awaits you at Gloucester Cathedral – one of the finest medieval buildings in the country and steeped in history, from royal coronations and burials to Harry Potter film sets. Begun in 1089 and remodelled over four centuries, its architectural magnificence encompasses Norman and English Gothic styles. 

Hotel du Vin

Hotel du Vin Cheltenham is in the chic Montpellier district of what is considered to be one of England’s most quintessential spa towns.

The building stands proud with its classic Georgian exterior, full of character and with decor that is full of rich, warm, non-distracting colours and textures. There is free Wi-Fi throughout.

Jazz Arena

The Jazz Arena is a purpose built venue located in Cheltenham’s Montpellier Gardens. Fully lined, carpeted and with a tiered seating capacity of 635, the Jazz Arena provides a more intimate, bespoke setting for Jazz Festival events to take place.

MakerShack

The MakerShack is one of our free interactive zones on our main Science Festival site in Imperial Gardens.

Pittville Pump Room

Pittville Pump Room is an elegant Grade I listed Regency building and perhaps the most famous example of Regency architecture in Cheltenham. Standing in regal splendour at one end of Pittville Park, the Pump Room is a monument to more than 100 years of fame that Cheltenham enjoyed as a Spa town.

Queens Hotel

The Queens Hotel is situated in the centre of Cheltenham at the top of the Promenade, between the two main Festival sites.

The Regency Suite is found to the right of the Reception desk.

School House Café

The School House Café is a community focused café in the St Pauls area of Cheltenham. The café is run as a charity. This is an unreserved venue.

St Andrew's Church

St Andrew's Church is located in the town centre of Cheltenham, with a commitment to eco matters. 

St Gregory's Church

St Gregory’s Church is a Grade II listed parish church in the centre of Cheltenham. 

Tewkesbury Abbey

A stunning Abbey church, consecrated in 1121. Lying at the southern edge of Tewkesbury’s old town, the Abbey quietly dominates the land and skyline with its long nave, Norman arches and “probably the largest and finest Romanesque tower in England” (Pevsner).

The Arcade

The Arcade is one of our free interactive zones on our main Science Festival site in Imperial Gardens.

The Big Top

The Big Top is a purpose built venue situated at the heart of Jazz in the Gardens. Constructed in the classic style of a circus big top, the arena is fully lined and offers tiered seating. 

The Bottle of Sauce

The Bottle of Sauce pub opened in 2016 and is located in the centre of Cheltenham. The Bottle of Sauce hosts a variety of community events all year round. This is an unreserved venue.

The Daffodil

The Daffodil began life as Cheltenham’s first purpose built picture palace, opening its doors to the public on the 5th October 1922. One of country’s finest surviving examples of original Art Deco cinema design, The Daffodil’s interior is now home to a restaurant.

The Garden Theatre

The Garden Theatre is a fully reserved seated venue located on the main Times and The Sunday Times Literature Festival site in Montpellier Gardens. The Garden Theatre can be found near the bandstand area of Montpellier Gardens.

The Helix

The Helix is an unreserved venue located on our main Science Festival site in Imperial Gardens in the centre of Cheltenham.

The Hive

The Hive is an unreserved venue located on the main Times and The Sunday Times Literature Festival site in Montpellier Gardens.

The Huddle

Whether you’re after stimulating talks during the day, or entertainment in the evening, visit The Huddle stage in our Feast Café for a host of free events celebrating writing from close to home and around the globe.

The Times and The Sunday Times Forum

The Times and Sunday Times Forum is a reserved venue located in our main Times and Sunday Times Literature Festival site in Montpellier Gardens.

The Wilson Gallery

The Wilson Gallery is an award-winning gallery and museum offers a diverse range of displays, exhibitions, and events. 

VOICEBOX

VOICEBOX is an unreserved venue located on our main Times and Sunday Times Literature Festival site in Montpellier Gardens and it hosts the full VOICEBOX free programme.

Victoria's Tea Room, Queens Hotel

Located inside Queens Hotel, Victoria's Tea Room is Cheltenham’s best kept secret. Showcasing the finest locally sourced produce. Serving up perfectly-crafted plates to tempt the taste buds. 

 

Francis Hall Close Chapel

The Chapel is located in the University of Gloucestershire, Francis Hall Close Campus.

The Old Courthouse

The Old Courthouse, as the name suggests, is a pub based in the former Cheltenham County Court. The layout of the building remains largely the same as in the late 18th century and upstairs you can find the original Court Chamber.
