The Garden Theatre
The Garden Theatre is a fully reserved seated venue located on the main Times and The Sunday Times Literature Festival site in Montpellier Gardens (GL50 1UL). The Garden Theatre can be found near the bandstand area of Montpellier Gardens.
The Garden Theatre is located on the Montpellier Terrace side of Cheltenham’s Montpellier Gardens (GL50 1UL).
Getting Here
Parking
Montpellier Gardens is in the centre of Cheltenham, with numerous car parks nearby. The nearest car parks are Rodney Road (GL50 1HX), St Georges Road (GL50 3DT), Royal Well (GL50 3DS) and Regent Arcade (GL50 1HN). There is a regular bus service from Cheltenham Racecourse and Arle Court Park and Ride car parks to the centre of Cheltenham.
Rail
Montpellier Gardens is a 25-minute walk from Cheltenham Spa Railway Station. There is a taxi rank outside the station should wish you get a taxi.
Bus
The 94, 94X, 97 and 10 services stop directly opposite Montpellier Gardens. For further information on Cheltenham bus services, please visit stagecoach.com.
There are bike racks located throughout Montpellier Gardens should you wish to visit the festival on your bike. Please note that anyone wishing to secure their bike at one of the bike racks does so at their own risk.
Accessibility
The Garden Theatre has step free access and guide dogs are welcome. The venue has a hearing loop system; however, this only works up to seat 21 in the centre stalls.
