Fees, Discounts & Refunds

Our booking fee

As a registered charity Cheltenham Festivals charges a booking fee to cover the costs associated with providing our booking facilities.

Our charges are in line with the rising costs of this service which includes the cost of staffing, banking, developing, and maintaining our booking software and postage.

Our booking fees are as follows:

  • Online sales £2.00
  • Telephone sales £2.00
  • In-person card sales £2.00

We endeavour to keep our booking fees as low as possible and charge on a per order basis rather than per ticket to ensure this. We also clarify our booking fees before any transaction is completed.


Are not available for events which include catering, books or any other goods in the ticket price.

Group discounts: These are available on many events (10% off the total cost for a party of ten or more). Please email our box office if you wish to make a group booking.

Personal Assistants: Tickets for customers who are registered disabled will be charged the standard price of the ticket. If you require a carer, support worker or personal assistant their ticket is complimentary.

Please note that events which include catering, books or any other goods, do not qualify for a free personal assistant ticket.

Members discounts: Gold and Silver Members receive a 10% discount on a specified number of tickets per event. 16-25 Members discounts vary. See our membership page for full details.

Proof of concession is required so please be prepared to show relevant ID upon admission to events if you are purchasing tickets with a concession.

There are no senior citizens discounts for any of our Festivals


  • Please double check your order before proceeding to payment as from the moment that the transaction is completed your tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
  • We cannot refund money or exchange tickets, except in the case of a cancelled event, which will be refunded within 28 days.
  • Lost or stolen tickets are non-refundable and no duplicate tickets will be issued.
  • Please check your tickets as soon as you receive them.

Please be advised that event speakers and or content may be subject to change. We cannot refund these tickets if the event is still taking place.

We take no responsibility for what artists and speakers say on stage. While we make best efforts to ensure that the quality of the event meets our usual high standards and is not offensive, upsetting or illegal, no refunds can be offered on the basis of what an artist or speaker says or does (or fails to say or do) during an event.


If an event has to be cancelled it will be announced as soon as possible. Please check our website, Facebook and Twitter pages regularly for updates. If you have bought tickets you will be contacted, usually via email or telephone and we will arrange a ticket refund or exchange.
