We're looking for new contestants to apply to be part of the Over-Ambitious Demo Challenge on the closing evening of Cheltenham Science Festival 2023, Sunday 11 June 2023.

In previous years our audiences have seen everything from ballet dancing on cornstarch to crazy bubbles and steel-cutting sausages, and we can't wait to showcase more over-ambitious demos this year.

We're looking for a demo that's fun, exciting, surprising and overly ambitious, keeping the audience in suspense until the very end.

If you would like to apply to be part of this incredible event, we'd like you to prepare two demos: a 10 minute demo, and a four minute demo. You can tell us a bit more about your two demo ideas in the application form.

At Cheltenham Festivals we care deeply about inclusive practice and diversity. We're an equal opportunities and Disability Confident employer who embraces the benefits of diversity so that everyone – irrespective of individual differences in their identities, background or any personal characteristics – receives fair and equal treatment in a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment. The Overambitious Demo Challenge especially welcomes applications from a diverse range of people.

Please apply by 12pm on Monday 20 March and if you have any questions please email us.
