Details

Science troubadour, Jonny Berliner (“Seriously funny”- Scotsman) and Ugly Animal wrangler, Simon Watt (“All the wit and passion of the best comics”- Chortle) have created an especially silly pub quiz cum cabaret with a difference. In a nerdtastic night to remember you will have your geek knowledge tested, take part in the origami Olympics, and play with puns. Niche prizes to be won. Full marks for foolishness. Paxman would hate it.

Biography

As a science troubadour, teacher and general know-it-all, Jonny Berliner is an expert on making science both accessible and tuneful. His comedy science songs have gained an international following, having played them in legendary science venues such as CERN and the Royal institution, and even on Britain’s Got Talent. His SciTunes project, aimed at creating music videos to help students learn GCSE Physics through song was supported by the Stephen Hawking Foundation, and he co-hosts Universilly Challenged with Ugly Animal preservationist Simon Watt.

Simon Watt is a biologist, writer, science communicator, comedian, TV presenter, trainer, consultant and artist. Simon runs Ready Steady Science, a science communication company committed to making information interesting and takes science based performances into schools, museums, theatres and festivals. He is also the founder of the Ugly Animal Preservation Society, a comedy night with a conservation twist. Simon is a regular contributor to TV and radio, perhaps best known as a presenter on the BAFTA-winning documentary series, Inside Nature’s Giants, the IFTA-winning Wild Cities and the Channel 4 special, The Elephant: Life After Death.
