Kickstart a new healthy habit in 2021: join Alex Staniforth for a mindful walk, jog or run following his event, Run for Your Mind. Whether you’re an experienced runner or looking to enjoy the benefits of a walk in the fresh air, all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part. Don’t forget to wear your running shoes!

The Details

If you would like to take part in the run, register for free by clicking ‘Buy now’ and meet Alex and your fellow runners at the Meeting Point outside The Garden Bar in Imperial Gardens to warm up together and start your 5k. The route will start and finish at Imperial Gardens, GL50 1QZ.

Please note: we recommend that you join Alex for his talk, Run For Your Mind immediately before the run. For free tickets and more information, click here.

This route is suitable to walk, jog or run. Please enter any access requirements (eg. Wheelchair use), your next of kin and their contact number in the field in your shopping basket. Please note that this information is mandatory for you to participate in the event.


Please note the following:

  • Turn up at the Meeting Point ready to go in your running clothes.
  • Don’t bring any valuables as there are no storage facilities on site.
  • Please bring your own water / sports drink and any other refreshments required. Complimentary tap water will be available at The Garden Bar before and after the run.

Biography

Alex Staniforth is a record-breaking adventurer, ultra-runner, motivational speaker, published author and charity director from Cheshire aged 25. Alex is no stranger to adversity, having survived two disasters on Mount Everest as a teenager and overcoming epilepsy, stammering and bullying in earlier life; and openly suffering with depression, anxiety and an eating disorder since the age of 16. Alex has raised over £100,000 for charity and won the Pride of Britain Regional Fundraiser of the Year 2017. He has published two books, Icefall, and Another Peak, and is a founding director of mental health charity Mind Over Mountains.

Running is a physically active sport. You should always seek advice from your GP before taking up a strenuous physical pursuit such as this. I accept that I do so entirely at my own risk and that it is my responsibility to ensure that I am fit and able to take part in the event.

Children under the age of 12 years old are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and need to be accompanied at all times before, during and after the run.

Cheltenham Festivals and its volunteers do not accept responsibility for injury, loss and damage sustained by a participant unless the above injury, loss and damage is proven to have been caused as a direct result of negligence on the part of the organisers.

CF Ticketing charges a fee per booking to reflect the costs of providing the service which include card processing costs (for both credit and debit cards) as well as staffing, developing and maintaining the booking software and postage

We endeavour to keep our booking fee as low as possible and charge on a per booking basis rather than a per ticket basis to ensure this. We also endeavour to ensure that our booking fees are clear before any transaction is completed.
