We exclusively reveal the first results of the Big Compost Experiment, a nationwide citizen science test helping to shape the future of the planet. Material scientists Mark Miodownik and Danielle Purkiss have harnessed the nation’s composters to find out whether biodegradables, increasingly taking over from conventional plastics, are really the answer to the plastic waste crisis. Join us to find out. With live compost reveal from Lesley Greene.
