Patron Terms and Conditions

  • All levels of Patron are for 12 months from the date of purchase, with the exception of Life Patrons.

  • Being a Patron does not guarantee you tickets for any of our events.

Booking

  • Patrons do not pay a booking fee.

  • Patrons receive exclusive advance booking periods. After this period ends tickets go on sale to members and the general public.

  • Tickets go on sale to Patrons in the following order: Life Patrons, Directors Circle, Gold Patrons, Silver Patrons.

  • You can call the main Box Office line on 01242 850270 during Box Office open hours, 10am – 4pm Tuesday to Friday. These times vary throughout the year. Please check here for details.

  • For some special events there may be a limit on the number of tickets you can purchase for that event. This will be communicated to you in advance of your booking period and will be relative to your level of Patronage.

Payment of tickets

  • If booking by phone you must pay for your ticket at the time of booking.

Ticket Discounts

  • Patrons are entitled to two tickets per event at 10% discount.

  • Discounted tickets are only to be used by the Patron and are not transferable.

  • All discounts and concessions are offered subject to availability on a limited allocation basis.

  • Discounts are not applicable to events which include food, drink or other benefits, as well as selected adult and child events.

  • Discounts cannot be combined with other offers, or applied retrospectively

  • Cheltenham Festivals reserves the right not to offer discounts on certain other events.

  • Cheltenham Festivals reserves the right to make additional targeted special ticket offers in addition to those offered published in brochures or on websites from time to time. Cheltenham Festivals may also withdraw any offers.

Unreserved events (Life and Director Circle Patrons only)

  • If you have bought tickets for guests for unreserved events, please make sure that guests know that their seats will be reserved in your name and allocated at the front of the venue. This will avoid empty seats at the front of the venues at Festivals.

Refunds and exchanges

  • Please check your tickets as soon as you receive them. We cannot refund money or exchange tickets, except in the case of a cancelled event, which will be refunded within 28 days.

  • Please be advised that event speakers and or content may be subject to change. We cannot refund these tickets if the event is still taking place.

  • If you have tickets for a sold out event that you no longer require, please consider donating them for re-sale through the Box Office.

  • Alternatively the value can be credited to your account on return of tickets up to 72 hours before the event. After this period no refunds can be offered.

Members Terms and Conditions

Membership

  • Membership is of the Cheltenham Festivals Membership Scheme and does not constitute membership of the charity, Cheltenham Festivals.

  • Membership is for 12 months from the date of purchase.

  • Direct Debit Membership is 12 months from the date of sign up.

  • Gold and Silver Membership entitles you to priority booking for programmed events run by Cheltenham Festivals, certain discounts and third party offers.

  • Bronze Membership does not entitle you to any Membership discounts or third party offers.

  • Members can purchase advance tickets for themselves and their guest for programmed events, subject to ticket availability.

  • Gold Members up to six tickets per event during priority booking (two discounted and four full price);

  • Silver Members up to four tickets per event during priority booking (one discounted and three full price) and

  • Bronze Members can purchase up to two full price tickets per event during priority booking.

  • Cheltenham Festivals reserves the right to refund and return any tickets purchased in excess of this allocation.

  • Membership does not guarantee you tickets for any of our events.

  • Memberships are non refundable and not transferable.

  • While Direct Debits can be cancelled at any time, please note that we are unable to refund payments already taken.

  • Direct Debit membership can be cancelled before payment has been taken. However if you choose to cancel a Direct Debit membership before payment is taken and have received Membership benefits including priority booking and/or discounts, Cheltenham Festivals reserve the right to:

    • Release any tickets back to general sale that were purchased during the Member's priority period unless the full value of Membership is paid for by card

    • Release any tickets back to general sale that were purchased with a Member's discount or insist that purchaser pays the full value of the ticket

Gift Aid and Membership

If you are a UK taxpayer please consider signing up for Gift Aid when you purchase a Silver or Bronze membership. Gift Aid increases the value of your membership and any other donations you make to our charity by 25% because Cheltenham Festivals can reclaim the basic rate of tax on your gift – at no extra cost to you.

Please note that due to the value of benefits available, unfortunately Gold membership is no longer eligible for Gift Aid.

16-25 Members

  • To become a 16-25 Member, if you already have an account, please email the Box Office on boxoffice@cheltenhamfestivals.com with your surname, postcode and date of birth. This information will only be used to update your Membership. You can view our Privacy Policy here.
  • If you don't already have an account, please create one via the login page and repeat the above steps.

*Priority booking means that full price tickets can be purchased ahead of the general public, but after Bronze, Silver and Gold Members.

  • Tickets are non-transferable and must be used by the purchaser
  • Tickets are non-refundable

To collect tickets, Members MUST show proof of age in the form of photo ID. The following forms of ID are acceptable: Passport, Driving Licence, A Pass card, A 16+ Zip Oyster Card, Young Persons Railcard.

Eligibility: 16-25 is a free Membership scheme that is open to anyone aged between 16-25 years old.

Communication of discounts: Will be communicated to 16-25 Members via email and social platforms.

Exclusions: Discounts are not available for events which include catering, books or any other goods in the ticket price, and other benefits as well as Club Nights at the Jazz Festival. Cheltenham Festivals reserves the right not to offer discounts on certain other events.

Ticket Allocation: 16-25 Members can purchase no more than two tickets per performance. One ticket must be used by the 16-25 Member, the other is to be used by a guest who must also be aged 16-25.

Transaction fees: Will apply to each booking. Fees are £3 per transaction.

Expiry: Membership automatically expires at midnight on the day before a 16-25 Member’s 26th birthday. You may book tickets up to this date, even if the shows take place after your 26th birthday.

Data: By signing up to 16-25, you agree to have your personal details held by Cheltenham Festivals, and used to keep you informed about our tickets, events, projects and special offers which we think might be of interest to you. If you do not wish to receive information about associated events, workshops and special offers, please email boxoffice@cheltenhamfestivals.com or select the unsubscribe option displayed in all emails.

Cancellation of Membership: If you wish to cancel your 16-25 Membership, please email boxoffice@cheltenhamfestivals.com

Termination of scheme: Cheltenham Festivals reserves the right to terminate the 16-25 scheme at any time.

Direct Debit

Direct Debit Guarantee

This Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debits. If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit we will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request us to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request. If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit, by us or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid form your bank or building society. - If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when we ask you to. You can cancel a Direct Debit at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.
