The wait is over!
Our Musicate education programme for primary schools pairs up six inspirational young musicians from Birmingham Conservatoire (our ‘Musicats’) with six lucky Gloucestershire primary schools for a year of musical enrichment in the classroom.
Schools and Musicats, who have been waiting with increasing anticipation, now know who they have been matched with. The matching ceremony took place earlier today live at Gloucestershire Schools Musinews with reporter Nancy Notes. Pupils watched excitedly as the spinning wheel of fortune randomly allocated Musicats to schools, and the results are as follows:
Callowell Primary – matched with Holly Greenwood-Rogers (French Horn)
Glenfall Primary – matched with Emily Hopper (Harp)
Severnbanks Primary – matched with Ashton Smith (Trumpet)
Shurdington Primary – matched with James Borland (Trumpet)
St Matthew’s Primary – matched with Will Crawford (Guitar)
Yorkley Primary – matched with Emily Dore (Violin)
Many congratulations to everyone involved. Let Musicate begin!
