For the second of our BBC New Generation Artist series the Calidore Quartet are joined by phenomenal Romanian cellist Andrei Ioniță, and Eivind Holtsmark-Ringstad who blew away audiences with his extraordinarily intense musicianship last summer. Passion remembered and recovered is the theme of sextets by Tchaikovsky and Strauss, and they are preceded here by the vibrantly coloured solo sonata of Gaspar Cassadó.

Pittville Pump Room

Pittville Pump Room is an elegant Grade 1 listed Regency building and perhaps the most famous example of Regency architecture in Cheltenham. Standing in regal splendour at one end of Pittville Park, the Pump Room is a monument to more than 100 years of fame that Cheltenham enjoyed as a Spa town.
