An annual highlight of the Festival, our BBC New Generation Artist series serves up the crème de la crème of up-and-coming international musical talent. This first recital brings us the exceptional New York-based Calidore Quartet and Simon Höfele, hailed as one of the most exciting trumpeters of his generation. Pairing Haydn at his vivacious and ingenious best with Janáček at his most impassioned, the programme closes with Saint-Saëns’ joyfully ebullient Septet.

Pittville Pump Room

Pittville Pump Room is an elegant Grade 1 listed Regency building and perhaps the most famous example of Regency architecture in Cheltenham. Standing in regal splendour at one end of Pittville Park, the Pump Room is a monument to more than 100 years of fame that Cheltenham enjoyed as a Spa town.

The Festival’s morning recitals at the Pump Room are its continuing glory
