The Big Give Christmas Challenge

Inspiring a love of music in young people

We believe that early cultural experiences are a vital part of every child’s education. Every year Cheltenham Music Festival works with over 3,000 children in schools throughout Gloucestershire, giving them awe-inspiring live music experiences.

Through our primary school outreach programme Musicate, our Schools Workshops and Concert for Schools we bring classical music to the classroom. Live.

How you can help

We’re taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2019. If you make a donation as part of the challenge, it will be doubled thanks to the generous matching of our champions, The Reed Foundation.

With your support we can raise more than £30,000 to make these school projects possible, year-on-year.

If you’ve enjoyed a visit to Cheltenham Festivals this year, then this is an incredible way to make any donation towards our education work, and have a huge impact on the lives of local children.

How to donate

Any donation from £5 to £5,000 will be doubled from midday on Tuesday 3 December until midday on Tuesday 10 December. You can donate by clicking below:

Thank you for your generous support of Cheltenham Festivals.

My jaw dropped when Anne played. I have never seen anyone’s fingers move so quickly. Amazing.

Pupil Waterwells Primary School

Our pupils really enjoyed the whole day. They liked the concert, but especially liked the workshops where they got the chance to actually hold and play an instrument. Some of our children will never have an experience like this again, so it was very important to us as a school that they got the chance to take part.

It has inspired me to do more music. I want to do music at my next school. I love music, it is fun.
