Moments of Weightlessness

In 2016, composer and pianist Sarah Nicolls brought her one-woman show ‘Moments of Weightlessness’ to Cheltenham Music Festival. This film of her show is a wonderful opportunity to watch this poignant, funny and deeply human story of parenting and the creative spirit.

Career Conversations: The Music Festival

As part of our commitment to talent development, we’ve filmed three conversations looking at careers in music. The first takes a look at the team behind Cheltenham Music Festival, talking about life working in arts events.

Career Conversations: Music Education & Outreach

This is the second of our careers in music films, with professional musician Ben Jones discussing what he has learnt as a member of our Musicate scheme, how he has built a portfolio career and his tips for being a successful performer.

Career Conversations: Jules Buckley

Our third career conversation film sees 2020 Guest Curator Jules Buckley, in conversation with Music Festival Head of Programming, Camilla King. A must-see for anyone interested in conducting or composing, Jules talks with great honesty about his musical life and experiences, and what he’s learnt during a hugely successful career spanning nearly 20 years and a wide-range of musical genres.
