It’s been a remarkable year for debuts; join us as we raise a glass to three of our favourites. Jessica AndrewsSaltwater is a ‘luminous’ (The Observer) feminist coming-of-age novel that examines shifting class identity; Ronan Hession’s Leonard and Hungry Paul is a deliciously offbeat story that celebrates the wonder of everyday lives; and Season Butler’s Cygnet is an atmospheric island-set novel with a captivating teenage narrator who has been compared to Holden Caulfied by Blake Morrison. Chaired by Lyndsey Fineran.
