Mimi Anderson (Beyond Impossible) is a record-breaking ultra-running phenomenon, competing in the world’s most hostile environments. Emily Chappell (Where There’s a Will) became the first woman to complete the infamous Transcontinental Race, cycling 4,000km in just 13 days. Lara Prior-Palmer (Rough Magic) is the youngest-ever champion and the first woman to win the Mongol Derby, a formidable 1000km horse race across the vast Mongolian plains. These extraordinary women tell Beverley Turner why they push themselves to the limits of their endurance.
