‘I was jealous of her writing – the only writing I have ever been jealous of’, said Virginia Woolf of Katherine Mansfield. An acclaimed short story writer, a social rebel and a key figure in Modernism, Wellington-born Mansfield lived a remarkable life before her early death at 34. New Zealand authors Kirsty Gunn (My Katherine Mansfield Project) and Sarah Laing (Mansfield and Me) join Fiona Lensvelt to discuss her literary legacy and how their own lives have connected with their country’s most famous writer.
