Cheltenham Literature Festival have teamed up with The Borough Press and LBA books to launch the Cheltenham First Novel Competition. The winner will receive a £10,000 advance and a publishing contract with The Borough Press, and representation by Luigi Bonomi at LBA.

Having launched the competition in style with an event at The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival in October, entrants are still invited to submit the first three chapters of their literary-commercial novel, or the first 15,000 words in order to take part in this extraordinary competition.

The winner of the competition will be selected by judges from HarperCollins, LBA and Cheltenham Festivals based on their work’s quality and commercial potential.

Deadline for submissions is 31 January 2018. For more information on how to take part and to read the competition’s Terms & Conditions, please visit The Borough Press website here.
