LabLive 2019: Spectacular Touring Science Shows for KS3
Thanks to EDF Energy, we took 2 of our fantastic presenters from Cheltenham Science Festival on tour around the UK to excite pupils in year 8 and 9 with STEM. This year over 1800 pupils and teachers from 24 schools enjoyed shows at 2 EDF Energy locations: Lancaster and Hartlepool.
A fun and inspiring view of science.
Pupils were entertained, informed and inspired by presenters Antonia Forster and Simon Watt. Pupils learned about the mathematicians, engineers, scientists and programmers behind the first mission to the moon, looked at superheroes to explore DNA mutations and even programmed a human ‘robot’ live on stage. Using an exciting mix of demonstrations and audience participation, our amazing presenters uncovered some of the benefits of studying science, technology, engineering and maths at GCSE and beyond.
Bringing science alive – making it exciting and engaging.
