Gloucestershire Schools' Christmas Lectures 2019

For the ten-year anniversary of these lectures, nearly 500 pupils from 15 schools in Gloucestershire were entertained, informed and inspired by Antonia Forster and Simon Watt. Pupils learned about the mathematicians, engineers, scientists and programmers behind the first mission to the moon, looked at superheroes to explore DNA mutations and even programmed a human ‘robot’ live on stage. Using an exciting mix of demonstrations and audience participation, our amazing presenters uncovered some of the benefits of studying science, technology, engineering and maths at GCSE and beyond.

Gave them an opportunity to listen to experts and have an insight into different areas of science.

Love the humour and enthusiasm of the presenters and the real-life contexts of the lectures.
