Gloucestershire Schools' Christmas Lecture 2018

In the ninth year of this event, guest curators of the 2018 Cheltenham Science Festival, Dr Jessica Barker and FC, joined Russell Arnott for a high-energy show at The Bacon Theatre. Nearly 500 pupils from 14 schools in Gloucestershire were taken on a whistle-stop tour of what it’s like to work in cyber security and marine biology. Using an exciting mix of demonstrations and audience participation, our amazing presenters uncovered some of the benefits of studying science, technology, engineering and maths at GCSE and beyond.

Seeing careers in STEM come to life is so valuable for our pupils.

Inspiring and engaging, gets the students talking about science outside the curriculum.
