Over 500 Year 10 pupils took part in Careering Around during March 2013.
Careering Around – careers guidance, but not as you know it – got Year 10 pupils thinking about the benefits of qualifications in science as they came face to face with STEM mentors in their schools. Unlike a standard careers fair, Careering Around involved interactive sessions based on the speed dating format, making it lively, dynamic and definitely memorable!
One of the Science Festival’s key aims is to inspire young people in science and engineering in the hope that more will take up science subjects at A-level and University – becoming the scientists and engineers of the future.
Careering Around also visited the Science Festival on Friday 7th June and will be visiting schools in March 2014.
