Music for Schools 2018

Looking back at Music for Schools 2018

Workshops in Schools – inspirational music-making experiences for pupils and teachers

The delivery was fantastic. Their enthusiasm, passion and manner with the children allowed all the children to gain a sense of what being a musician is all about. They covered lots of different skills from the curriculum and gave teachers different ideas about how to structure an engaging session for all the class.

Concert for Schools and Music Explorers – with specials thanks to Musicats Victoria Groves (Cellist), Lauren Storey (French Horn), Maja Pluta (Violinist) and Gloucestershire Academy of Music’s Inspire Ensemble.

Our children loved the different animal themes and picking them out in the music. They were inspired by the young musicians. They particularly enjoyed the special effects with the bubble machine, fish and especially the glitter ball! Being in such a building as the Town Hall was a special experience.

Children all loved being able to handle the instruments – especially the more unusual ones!
