Work Experience

We have now filled all available slots for work experience in the academic year 2015/2016. Please check back for more information on opportunities in the next academic year.

Cheltenham Festivals is among the leading cultural organisations in the country, producing over 900 innovative events across our annual festivals of Jazz, Science, Music and Literature as well as a year round Education programme.

Every year we try to give a handful of students aged 15 to 17 the opportunity to be involved in “behind-the-scenes” activities in relation to setting up world class festivals. Students in placements have the opportunity to spend time with the different departments, experience a variety of tasks and learn a little about the complexities of promoting and delivering a major Festival.

In view of the age of potential applicants we need to look at staffing requirements, making sure we can provide adequate supervision. This does mean that we are not able to offer work experience during the actual festivals.

If you have any questions regarding work placements, please contact us at admin@cheltenhamfestivals.com.

It was everything I had expected times a million. It was the best week I have had in months – so many new things learnt and done. The people of Cheltenham Festivals were so warm, welcoming and lovely – this week was incredible.
