Cheltenham Jazz Festival now open!

The 2013 Jazz Festival is well underway, with standout concerts still to come over the Bank Holiday weekend…

The opening night on Wednesday saw 5-time Grammy award-winner Dionne Warwick wow the Big Top audience with a stunning performance of some of her most well-known hits.

Other highlights of the first two days included genre-blending songstress Madeleine Peyroux performing very special versions of classic tracks such as Leonard Cohen’s ‘Bird on the Wire’, and blues sensation Jo Harman bringing a decidedly rocky set to the Jazz Arena on Thursday night.

Still to come over the bank holiday weekend… Latin jazz star Alex Wilson, Brit crooner Joe Stilgoe, guitar legend Mike Stern and purveyors of ‘Circus Swing’ Gabby Young and Other Animals. Jazz in the Gardens will also be in full swing, with free music throughout the weekend.
