Grammy-nominated musician Dave Douglas is arguably the most prolific and original trumpeter/composer of his generation.
He returns to the Cheltenham Jazz Festival this year with brand new material. Joined by his superb quintet and the graceful vocals of American jazz and folk singer Heather Masse, he will be performing music from his highly acclaimed album Be Still. The album features a series of hymns and folk songs with an intensely personal connection, alongside his own original compositions.
Programme Advisor to the Jazz Festival, Tony Dudley-Evans, recently caught up with Dave ahead of his appearance at this year’s Festival. Click above to watch the full interview.
