Press accreditation
Cheltenham Festivals encourages accredited journalists to attend festival events.
A ticket and pass allocation is held specifically for this purpose. (This does not include children’s events, workshops and walking tours for the Literature Festival).
Press Tickets: (Should be reserved in advance to guarantee seats)
- To reserve good seats, a pair of tickets for each event can be requested by each media organisation, in advance of the Festival. (Subject to ticket availability.)
- The Press Office encourages journalists to reserve seats in advance to avoid queues and sell-outs on the day.
Terms & Conditions:
- Press tickets are not available for children’s events, workshops, literary lunches, walks and tours.
- Tickets can be sent in the post or left for collection at the Town Hall Box Office.
- Please inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend so your tickets can be sold or reallocated.
- Please preview / review events attended. If you know this won’t be possible please don’t request review tickets or passes.
Press Passes: (Can be exchanged for tickets on the day subject to availability.)
*Press Passes are not available for the Cheltenham Music Festival or the Cheltenham Live programme
- All accredited members of the press will be issued with a pass which can also be exchanged for one ticket to any event over the Festival. (Subject to ticket availability.)
- This pass also entitles the bearer access to the Writers/Green Room.
- Please wear your badge at all times for identification purposes.
Terms & Conditions:
- To claim tickets present the pass, with journalist ID number to the venue’s Box Office in exchange for a ticket.
- The pass alone does not allow access to an event. Entry will not be permitted without a ticket.
- This pass is numbered and should only be used by the accredited journalist.
- This pass entitles the bearer to one ticket per event only.
- This pass has a monetary value of 0.00001 pence and cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative.
- Please do not use in conjunction with press tickets. No more than 2 tickets are permitted per journalist per event. Tickets will be monitored by the Box Office.
