Jazz Fringe 2014

25th April – 5th May

Welcome to the Festival Fringe, a series of live gigs to celebrate the 2014 Cheltenham Jazz Festival – and all of them completely free! Catch the best up-and-coming talent performing in pubs and shops across the town in the week ahead of the Festival – before the free music moves into the beautiful surroundings of Montpellier Gardens.

From 1-5 May, the free music takes over the Free Stage in Montpellier Gardens (supported by Endsleigh) – including unmissable rising stars such as Dan Owen and Melanie De Biasio. Alongside ticketed performances of some of the music scene’s biggest names, festival-goers can enjoy a Festival Bar, market stalls, Hobbs House BBQ shack and lots of fantastic food traders – making Montpellier Gardens the perfect place to spend the bank holiday weekend.

During the Festival, look out for the little part of the gardens that we call Montpellier Woods. Pop-up performances and lots of little surprise – this secluded spot will be packed with summery fun.

From 2-4 May, the Festival mood continues from 10.30pm late into the night with free impromptu jam sessions at Hotel du Vin. The perfect way to end your Festival day!
