On 1st May, we successfully broadcast Jamie Cullum's sold-out solo show to 75 cinemas across Europe and the UK, live from Cheltenham Jazz Festival.
Jamie Cullum proves a hit as guest director of Cheltenham jazz festival, The Guardian
"Meanwhile, the tents and the sober municipal buildings around the town centre's Imperial Gardens housed some of the hippest, coolest and most legendarily long-in-the-tooth jazz musicians from Europe and the United States"
In the run-up to this pioneering musical event, Jamie Cullum said:
"One of the things I love about Cheltenham is that they’re always trying something new, and I’m really excited about playing to audiences across the country with this simulcast gig. It’ll give people a chance to experience some of the festival’s vibe wherever they are, and hopefully encourage a few to come along next year to see more of the whole thing!
"
The night was a great success - jazz fans from Aberdeen to Munich joined the audience in Cheltenham for an exclusive set that featured new unheard material alongside classics from his best-selling albums.
