Join vocalists Gregory Porter (picture inset bottom right), Madeline Bell and James Tormé, the Guy Barker Big Band and the BBC Concert Orchestra, in a special broadcast for Friday Night is Music Night on BBC Radio 2, for a journey through the extraordinary life and music of Ray Charles. Unfortunately Sir Michael Parkinson is no longer able to participate, but David Harewood  (picture inset top right), British film and TV actor and star of the recent US hit drama Homeland, is now joining us to help tell the story of this legendary artist.
